Overview

GRank is a browser extension that shows Google search result positions and tracks rank history. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data GRank handles and how.

Data Collection

GRank does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.

All data generated by GRank is stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage APIs (chrome.storage.sync and chrome.storage.local). No data is sent to any external server, analytics service, or third party.

What Data is Stored Locally

The following data is saved on your device only:

• Your settings — target domain, competitor domains, display preferences
• Scan results — temporary results from multi-page scans (cleared when you search for something new)
• Rank history — daily position records for your tracked keywords and domains, stored for up to 90 days

Permissions

GRank requests the following Chrome permissions:

• storage — to save your settings and rank history locally on your device
• activeTab — to read the search results on the Google tab you are currently viewing

GRank only activates on Google search pages. It does not run on any other websites.

Google Search Requests

When you use the "Scan Pages" feature, GRank fetches additional Google search result pages in the background using your existing browser session. These requests go directly to Google — they do not pass through any intermediary server. GRank does not modify your searches or inject any content into non-Google pages.

Third-Party Services

GRank does not use any third-party services, analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising networks.

Data Deletion

You can delete all GRank data at any time by:

• Uninstalling the extension (all data is automatically removed)
• Clearing your browser's extension storage via Chrome settings

Changes to This Policy

If this privacy policy is updated, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of GRank after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
